Interview with kyle parsons
Kyle Parsons is a local inspiration for sport enthusiastic youth. He grew up in the village of Irma and, after getting his teaching degree, came back to be a teacher at Irma School. Not only is he a social teacher but he is also a gym teacher, and he promotes activity in school and out and also marks students on taking leadership roles in local sport groups.
On Thursday the 27th of March, we went to interview Irma star, Taylor Schubada who had the opportunity to represent Canada in the Softball World Championships down in Argentina.
How did it feel to represent Canada over in Argentina?
“It was a pretty unbelievable experience. Anytime you get to wear the maple leaf on your chest pretty special”
What Challenges did you face in Argentina?
“A lot of us got sick while we were over there, the first few days and had through that, and it wasn’t fun”
Has playing for team Canada change your aspects on sports and if so in what ways?
“It has let me see how rare an opportunity like this one comes along and how it is a once in a lifetime chance to represent your country on one of the highest stages”
